The Energy Engineer Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of major capital works within Remote Operations.

You need a high level of interpersonal, analytical and effective communication skills to work in this cross cultural environment.

Power and Water is seeking an electrical fitter mechanic to help install, maintain and operate equipment on the power distribution network.

You will have the ability to interpret electrical drawings and plans, work within a team environment and help provide a safe workplace. Knowledge of the maintenance and installation of ring main units and circuit breakers would be an advantage. 

Additional specific training will be provided.

As a member of our Remote Operations team you will develop concepts and options for renewable energy systems and remote energy supply in remote communities.

You will be involved in the planning, management and optimisation of renewable energy systems, including maintaining system reporting to inform decision making.

Based at Channel Island Power Station you will develop, maintain and implement asset management plans for generation plant in our northern region to ensure that the requirements of Power and Water’s Darwin-Katherine electricity grid are met.

Leading a small dedicated team, the role involves managing the investigations, work scope developments, evaluations, budgeting, resourcing and implementation of generation plant major planned shutdown and improvement works.

Knowledge of power station design, construction, operation or maintenance, and experience in a range of plant areas and tertiary qualifications would be an advantage.

An executive contract of up to four years may be offered.

We are looking for two people to join our Water Services unit as control systems technicians in Alice Springs.

You will provide electrical, SCADA and controls expertise associated with the delivery and maintenance of water and wastewater systems.
The person we are seeking will have Diploma of Engineering or equivalent and experience in the design, documentation, commissioning and maintenance of SCADA / PLC-based control systems and telemetry systems.
An additional trade background is highly desirable.
You may be placed on the on-call roster and will be expected to travel within the Territory for short periods of time for work.

We are looking for a mechanical or electrical tradesman seeking a career as a power station operator in Alice Springs.

Following training, you will be responsible for the safe and effective operation of generating plant and equipment at the Ron Goodin Power Station, the new Owen Springs Power Station as well as remote monitoring of Brewer Power Station.

You should have a AQF Level III Certificate in a mechanical / electrical trade in a relevant industrial environment and ability to analyse technical systems and assess anomalies.
 
Experience operating gas turbines and dual fuel reciprocating engines is desirable. You will work in a small team on a continuous roster.

Based at Channel Island Power Station, the Maintenance Planner ensures plant shutdown and maintenance project work is planned and resourced to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of generation plant maintenance activities.

The successful applicant will have a relevant trade or tertiary qualification and demonstrated ability in maintenance planning and scheduling, preferably within the power generation industry. 

The ability to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders is essential.

As part of the Power Networks engineering team, you will be involved in a range of projects to extend or augment power supply to new or existing customers. 

The successful applicant will have design experience and knowledge of overhead and underground distribution systems including high voltage substations and associated equipment.

You will repair, maintain and operate electrical power generation equipment including diesel, dual fuel, and spark ignition reciprocating engines and their auxiliaries.

You will need an ‘A’ Grade Electrical Licence and experience in industrial maintenance, ideally in electricity generation.  A strong commitment to OH&S and ability to work in a team as well as independently is essential.

We are seeking a person to install and maintain electricity metering systems as part of our Power Networks team.

The position involves making sure our metering system is serviceable and accurate, and that it meets regulatory standards.
