The largest investment in essential services in the Territory’s history is set to provide a range of unprecedented opportunities for local businesses.The Power and Water Corporation will spend a record $592 million on capital upgrades over the next five years. Another $222 million will be directed to a repairs and maintenance program.
An industry breakfast outlining opportunities across the Top End will be hosted by the Power and Water Corporation at the Novatel Resort on Thursday morning from 7am.
PWC Managing Director Andrew Macrides said the briefing would enable businesses to identify supply and contracting opportunities and therefore better plan for their futures.
“We expect local businesses will be able to explore a range of interests that will provide them with business opportunities for the next five years,’’ Mr Macrides said.
