Power and Water Corporation has been recertified to international and Australian standards in three key areas of Environmental Management, Quality and Occupational Health and Safety.
The recertification acknowledges that Power and Water has maintained its high level of achievement required by these standards.
Every three years Power and Water undergoes recertification to ensure it continues to improve the Corporation’s processes and operations and meet management system requirements.
This is supplemented by six monthly surveillance audits by external auditors.
Power and Water was the first Territory company back in 2006 to be awarded triple certification.
Power and Water Managing Director Andrew Macrides is very proud of the Corporation’s record of maintaining certification in these three areas.
“Every employee and contractor has an obligation to perform their duties safely, diligently and with due respect to the environment,” said Mr Macrides.
“We are justifiably proud of this result as we are committed to building a strong and rigorous corporation that protects its employees, its customers and the environment,” he said.
