Mitchell Street road closure

Mitchell Street (Darwin) remains closed between Daly and Peary streets until close of business Wednesday 19 May.

The road closure is necessary for the Darwin CBD Water Supply Enhancement project to continue.

The Darwin CBD is growing rapidly and new water mains are required to meet demand in the area. These new water mains will provide water to the CBD, Stuart Park and surrounds ensuring Power and Water's service standards are maintained to existing customers while allowing increased development.

Power and Water apologises for the work taking longer than initially estimated. This is due to the unforeseen delay in the delivery of fittings. Power and Water thanks you for your patience while these works continue.
