Track the truck

Due to the height of this load Power and Water crews will be required to de-energise some powerlines as the truck goes through Alice Springs.

Residents and businesses in the Ilpara area, Bullen Road, White Gums and Jay Creek and outstations along Larapinta Drive may experience short duration power outages as the truck travels through.

The outages are anticipated to start about 11am and last between 15 minutes to an hour.

This is the second of three dual-fuel engines that are part of the new power station 25 km south of Alice Springs.

Traffic control is in place so please observe police direction and drive with caution.
