Due to recent and predicted high rainfall in the Tennant Creek area, Power and Water is manually adding chlorine to the town’s water supply. This process is initiated when water quality indicators show a potential risk to supply.
Residents may notice a change in taste to the water.
Adding chlorine is a common practice to reduce health risks associated with the current non-disinfected water supply in Tennant Creek and is likely to continue over the next few days.
